The Southern most neighborhood in Detroit.  Surrounded by the Marathon Refinery, and The Waste Water Treatment Facility, it's easy to drive right past this area on I-75 and never look back. I imagine the people on the North bound side driving straight through Delray and thinking the same thing; Like two ships passing in the night...
I spent the Winter of 2023 shooting here with expired film, on the dreariest of days.
I chose that film/weather combination because it matched how I felt and what I saw looking through the camera.
One highlight of my time spent documenting this neighborhood is/was the amazing murals depicting the resident's outcry for clean air.
